Gabe Leonard was born and raised in Wyoming where he spent his childhood trying to skateboard on gravel roads in the summer and digging his parents car out of six foot snow drifts in the winter. He graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design in 1998 with a bachelor of fine arts degree, which he is still paying for and will be to the ends of time. For the last eight years Gabe has lived in Los Angeles, California where he can often be found sleeping, thinking about taking long walks on the beach, being grateful he isn't stuck in traffic or in his studio painting until the sun rises.

Gabe works in a Nomadic Style. Nomadicism is defined by work that is constantly changing and evolving in technique, subject matter and genre. The high plains drifter of art is not confined to any one way of working and creates new collections, often unrealated to each other, on a regular basis.
